Summary Mr. Munson is the school counselor at Pickle Pond Elementary. Stuart, a new student, has been subjected to bullying. After Mr. Munson visits his class to talk about bullying, Stuart goes to see him for some "itvice".
Note Nancy Nolan taught elementary school in rural Indiana, inner city St. Paul and suburban Minneapolis. The last eighteen years of her career, she was an elementary school counselor. Nancy based the book's Mr. Munson character and his 'itvice' on these many satisfying years.
